More prizes for ANU researchers

The Australian National University is letting us know they’ve won another swag of prestigious awards:

The Australian Academy of Science announced the 2013 winners of its annual awards for scientific excellence today.

The ANU recipients and their awards are:

— Professor Kenneth Freeman FAA FRS, Career research award– Matthew Flinders Medal and Lecture for scientific research of the highest standing in the physical sciences

— Dr Ulrike Mathesius, Early-career research award – Fenner Medal for research in biology

— Ms Amanda Edworthy, Research support award – Margaret Middleton Fund for endangered Australian native vertebrate animals

— Ms Claire Foster, Research support award – Margaret Middleton Fund for endangered Australian native vertebrate animals

— Ms Julie Clutterbuck, Travelling fellowship – Inaugural AK Head Travelling Scholarship for Mathematical Scientists
