ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the armed robbery of an 18-year-old male in Dickson on Saturday December 29.
Around midnight, the victim was in the vicinity of the Dickson Library, when he was robbed of his mobile phone by two males. During the incident a knife was produced and the victim was physically assaulted.
The victim was conveyed to The Calvary Hospital suffering facial injuries.
Police responded quickly and conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the offenders.

Why the hell would anyone steal a mobile phone? It’s got to be good for about a minute and a half until the former owner cancels it and (if it’s an iPhone) totally wipes it remotely. Idiots…

They steal the mobile so the victim can’t immediately call the police and report that they were mugged, duh.
Presumably they demanded money originally, victim might not have had any on him since it wasn’t mentioned as being stolen.
