Mulcahy inquiry heats up

Jon Stanhope is seriously enjoying the news that the Industrial Relations Commission has decided to proceed with its investigations into the Shadow Treasurer Richard Mulcahy’s time running the Australian Hotels Association (in its capacity as the regulator of employer associations).

Mr Stanhope, charitable soul that he is, has more advice for Mr. Stefaniak and suggests more assurances are needed that nothing untoward has hapenned.

“I am sure there are many Canberrans who would like some reassurance that nothing will emerge from the next stage of this investigation that could reflect poorly on the Legislative Assembly, or on the individual who would, under a Liberal regime, be the treasurer of this Territory.”

Seems a bit petty for the CM to put out a media release on it – I think?

Ha, ha, ha…

I’m sure Mr Stanhope will be equally quick, maybe even quicker, to reassure all Canberrans that nothing he does could ‘reflect poorly on the Legislative Assembly’.

Did one of Mulcahy’s advisors tell him that he has a better side of his head?

Whenever you see him interviewed on TV, he has his head awkwardly cocked to one side, talking to the camera from the side of his face.

It’s very strange.
