Murrays, we'll get you there...

…or clean up some pedestrians trying.

The Floriade traffic lights and reduced speed zone have been in operation for a couple of weeks now, and for the first time I can recall, drivers are actually obeying it.

Well done Canberra!

There’s always one person though who has to do the wrong thing, and today that honour goes to the Murrays coach who sped straight through the red light southbound at the crossing as people were starting to cross, leaving them visibly shocked.

I think the bus driver I had to sydney on friday must have been the above mentioned driver. He was super keen to get out of town and even got us to sydney 15minutes before the other murrays bus that left 10mins before us. I thank him for the speedy trip.

God help anyone at the crossings if he’s listening to Bathurst in a couple of weeks.

I got scabies from riding a Murray’s bus once …

Serves you right for sitting on the toilet seat.

aren’t the lights in Canberra (ped and car) just “aspirational” or “suggestive” like the Gov policies..

According to the driver of the taxi I was in 3 weeks ago- they are more along the lines of a ‘guide’. He mentioned this after noting my expression after he flew through a red light .

Lies i say lies, i’ve never seen a bus nor a truck ever run a red light. Bloody hell my nose just grew six inches!

I have seen in previous years plenty of pedestrians ignoring the lights and continuing to cross after the pedestrian light has turned red. They should pay rego if they want to walk on the road and slow down the motorists like that…

** also glad that no one was hurt **

Did ya get the bus number plate or call to complain to Murrays (I am guessing you saw it happen)?
