No Lealiifano for the start of the Brumbies season

We either don’t have a coach, or we have two coaches. Or half the team has one coach and half the team has another coach.

And we don’t have a CEO.

Now the ABC reports that the Brumbies will also have to make do without Christian Lealiifano after his ankle surgery:

Lealiifano is not expected to be available until at least March after undergoing surgery on Wednesday in Canberra.

The Brumbies playmaker had some bone, scar tissue and a plate removed that had been inserted when he dislocated his right ankle last year.

In place of the smooth running, sharp passing, goal kicking Lealiifano we get Pat McCabe.

McCabe is trying to come back from his second broken neck and likes running into people (he must, he never does anything else).

Here’s hoping they surprise us.
