A 42-year-old Turner man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning following the burglary of a Turner residence yesterday (Wednesday 7 May).

About 7.00pm, an off-duty police officer noticed a male enter a unit courtyard in Turner and remove a window security screen. The male then entered the unit through the window, carrying a black suitcase.

A few moments later, the male exited the unit through the front door carrying a black suitcase and a coloured bag.

ACT Policing City Patrol officers attended and located the male standing near the complex doors.

About 7.20am, the 42-year-old male was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.

He was later charged with burglary, theft and possession of stolen property and will face the ACT Magistrates Court later this morning.

Thank you, ladies/gentlemen. Lovely work.

I do hope you had the opportunity to take the man out the the back and have ‘a bit of a chat’.
