There’s something for everyone in this city, even ukulele enthusiasts.

Meetup brings word that they’re getting together at the St James Church Hall in Curtin.

Apparently they’d like RSVP’s in by 20 February.

neanderthalsis, thank you. I got around to watching the YouTube link you posted, it was okay. Certainly better than I could ever play.

caf, I’d not heard of MUK before and didn’t realise that they were the first ukulele club in Australia.

farnarkler, snicker …

pelican, keep up that spoon tapping 😉

I hope ASIO take notice of this and monitor the attendees closely.

I was going to say something witty (or attempt to) but they look such a nice happy group that I did not have the heart.

Must dash I have to get to my Ukranian spoon tapping classes….

I bought Mr poptop a banjo one Christmas.

Some nights, it sounds like Deliverance on our verandah . . .

Yes. I live in Kambah.

WMC, I’ll see your cute chick playing ukelele, and raise you one:

my boss is in that photo =] never knew she played!

Ukes rock, and chicks who play uke are hot. Witness Clara Belle.

There are people who actually play the uke?

Seriously?

George Formby will rise from the dead…

Whats wrong with playing the uke?
wish i had the talent for it.

At last, Canberra has a group to defend our honour against the notorious Melbourne Ukulele Kollective!

I wonder what “duelling ukuleles” would’ve sounded like in Deliverance?

Something like this:

If it’s humanly possibly, Youtube has someone who has recorded it.

I had no idea that there was a ukulele group in Canberra, and I don’t think I would ever join one myself(not surprising as I don’t play one!). But I have to say, I love that picture! There’s nothing like a group shot of a bunch of people who get together and obviously have a great time :o)

I’ll be one of the people wearing the false nose and moustache combo ….
