ACT Senator Gary Humprhies has put out a courageous media release, on the strange case of the Morris family receiving discretionary ministerial mercy from Amanda Vanstone.

They are now able to stay in Australia despite the medical costs their autistic son will incur.

In this case the son was literally a poster child for disabilites in Australia having been used in a government calendar.

Will Gazza be campaigning for less photogenic children fallng victim of our lawless (as described by numerous federal court judges) immigration department?

The ABC have more on this here.

To me, this is where the laws and red tape BS got bypassed and disregarded for a good result. Political stunt, moral fashion show, popularity contest, whatever. It’s more important that an autistic kid got a better chance.

FANTASTIC! We can’t even look after our own disabled properly, so we’ll take on some more from overseas!
