Does anyone remember about 10 years ago when Canberra had a pick your own strawberry farm?

What happened to it? And do you know who used to own it? Or do you know anyone who worked there?

Are you looking for a farm where you can just pick one strawberry or are you looking to pick a whole farm with a strawberry therein?

They were based on my grandparents farm 🙂
I always remember sneaking out in the wee hours to scramble over the fence and grab some strawberries.
For some reason, even though “Mr Strawberry Man” would let me take what I liked when I liked, at 2am in the moonlight, the strawberries always tasted better!

From vague memories of listening in on adult conversations, they got hold of some land in Goulburn and shifted shop?
I’ve never heard about them since?

About 2 years ago, I tried to go back to a strawberry farm that I loved as a young whipper snapper. I remember picking my own bucket full and filling my stomach during the harvest! I made my way up to the old gate and was prompted by a sign that read “NO Strawberries Here – P.O.Q” I had to google what the acronym ‘P.O.Q’ meant! LOL
