Police in Civic

I went into Civic on Saturday and was surprised to see so many police…. (I was designated driver) but when driving there and hanging out and driving home I didn’t see anyone with a speed camera or an RBT ( and I travelled up Adelaide Ave and the parkway from Greenway). So where are the police really on a Saturday?

Police in civic versus RBT. It is a no brainer. Young males+Booze+condensed area = Trouble. But a mathematical certainty.

If you want to be RBT’d, just take a short drive through Murrumbateman. I have family who live out near Yass, so travel reasonably frequently up the Barton. I’ve done three trips over the past month or so – RBT in town each time.

had spent the last 9 years in canberra and was RBT’d once.

9 weeks in broome and have had 3 already

I am surprised that anyone gets caught by ACT policing for DUI

I’d suggest budgetary restraints is the biggest enemy of RBT’s.

And yet they do. Frequently.

Population of Broome about 15k? Gee, I wonder why the cops are bored out of their skulls and doing RBT…

This is a good thing if they are out and about. It’s pretty bad when a club in civic i like to go to (Chrome) has to put out warnings on their social media page warning of aggressive idiots. As someone who almost feels the need for personal security detail on a Saturday night, I for one welcome the heavier police presence.
