Around 4.30pm last Friday (November 23), police received reports that a 41-year-old woman was being assaulted by a man and woman at the corner of City Walk and Mort Street.

A member of the public intervened to help the woman, and she was taken to The Canberra Hospital for treatment of injuries to her jaw.

Police executed a search warrant at a house in Ngunnawal yesterday afternoon (Thursday, November 29) and seized items of clothing.

A 26-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were arrested at 12.50pm yesterday at Jabanungga Avenue in Ngunnawal and were taken to the ACT Watch House, where they were charged with assault.
