ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault on a woman in the courtyard of her home in Kingston on Tuesday night (June 26).
Around 10.15pm the 30-year-old woman walked into her courtyard which backs onto Eyre Street in Kingston. While in the courtyard the woman was confronted by two men. One of the men assaulted the woman and then both men jumped the courtyard fence. It’s uncertain as to the direction in which the men then fled.
As a result of the assault the woman sustained injuries to her neck.
Anyone who may have seen two men, one of whom was wearing a light-coloured top, in Eyre Street Kingston around the time of the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
