Police seek witnesses to aggravated robbery in Conder

Police are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Woolworths petrol service station on Norman Lindsay Street, Conder, on Saturday night.

A man entered the service station about 10pm and threatened a staff member with a propane blow-torch and demanding cash.

The staff member complied, handing over a sum of cash before the offender fled on foot towards the nature reserve on Tharwa Drive.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 20s, about 170cm tall, of slim build, with an Australian accent.

He was wearing dark pants, a gray hooded jumper and gloves, and a black balaclava.

Police are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Conder area, can identify the offender or who has any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
