Find out the secrets to publishing success with local author L.J.M. Owen, who has just announced that her third book will be published next year.

The self-publishing to book deal success story will lead Canberra region writers in a weekend intensive focusing on book publicity this weekend at the ACT Writers Centre.

Approached by a publisher 5 days into her self-publishing journey, L.J.M Owen has seen two of her ‘Dr Pimms, Intermillennial Sleuth’ novels published, Olmec Obituary and Mayan Mendacity. The third in the series, EGYPTIAN ENIGMA, will be released in March 2018.

The successful author has just signed another 2-book deal in this archaeological mystery series, featuring the tenacious Dr Elizabeth Pimms.

In this practical weekend intensive with L.J.M Owen, participants will learn how to be their own publicist by developing a clear understanding of their unique offering and examining the elements of a publicity plan.

All participants will create their own personal publicity strategy by the close of the workshop and will build networking skills with members of the Canberra writing community.

Participants are asked to bring a summary of their current social media approach and a list of any promotional activities they’ve undertaken in the past two years.
