Raiders bury Newcastle 52-18

Foxsports are calling yesterday’s demolition of the Newcastle Knights by the Canberra Raiders “The Dugan Show” as the wayward young star shone bright on the way to a season best 52-18 victory.

Both teams are now tied on 18 competition points, but you’d rather have the momentum flowing the Green Machine’s way.

^ What these blokes said. Great stuff from the boys. Croker, Dugan, Vidot, Waddell all had blinders. Shillo produced our best fifth-tackle option of the season to date. And the rest of the team did great, as well.

Here’s hoping on a late push for the finals. A tough ask, they can’t afford too many more losses. But this is the most open competition in years, and any team that makes the finals could potentially challenge.

A cracker of a game – vintage stuff – just a shame the most of the players headed for the sheds and didn’t do the wander over to the far side of the park to thank the supporters and the Raiders Army – but good on Campo for reminding them.
