ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated burglary which occurred at the Woolworths supermarket in Dunlop this morning (Friday, March 16).

Around 4.30am police received a report of a possible ram raid at the Shoobridge Circuit address.

Belconnen Patrols attended shortly after to find a white Ford Falcon one-tonne utility at the location. Subsequent police checks revealed that the utility had earlier been stolen from an address in MacGregor.

Damage was made to the front doors of the building and inside stock, but entry was not gained and no property was stolen.

CCTV footage was obtained showing a person get out of the crashed vehicle and leave in another car.

Belconnen Patrols located another stolen vehicle believed to be involved nearby. Both vehicles are undergoing forensic examination.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or can provide any other information to assist the investigation, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
