Forbes Street Fire

Proving that in pursuit of a story I’m willing to go at least as far as the end of the street, we counted five major appliances out tonight in Turner, plus numerous smaller fire vehicles and two police cars.

The heroic fireies were hard at work smashing open the ceiling of a soon to be demolished townhouse.

Bum Creek Fire

Which is just as well as you can see the smoke billowing out of the roof.

Bum Creek

Ah Forbes St I knew you well….

I miss living in the Inner North for location, but I don’t miss the wanton destruction errr Urban consolidation. Oh for not seeing those fences going up around houses near where I live now. Shame I am no longer going to have a Primary School or Pre-school at the end of the year. Apparently that is a growing city for you.

That said I’d rather well maintained full and functioning schools then close by empty and in need of some upgrades

Nowt wrong with Wobblyvision occasionally – imparts a sense of immediacy, drama, intrigue – and a skinful of Coopers Ale.

Delerium tremens?

it’s not focus, it’s long exposure without a tripod.

I think your digital has focus problems in low light like mine.
