Well it’s the first weekend in December (or near enough) and for me this means time to put up the Christmas tree.
The ACT Government appears to agree with me, since this Saturday they will be lighting the city’s tree.
So what better time to launch the first ever RiotACT Christmas tree competition?
Here’s how it works:
*You set up your Christmas tree as per usual and take a photo of it in all its glory.
*Email this photo to trees@the-riotact.com before 8pm 20 December 2005.
*We’ll put the pictures up as they come in and some kind of vote will happen.
*The winner gets all the glory of being the RA winner and possibly something else if we can get organised.

Some kind of vote!? Sounds a bit like some dodgy band comp or something. I think we should have Mark Smith in to officiate. At least then we’ll know it’ll be done accountably.
I hate Xmas but this is kinda cool.
Maybe if there’s tonnes of entries you could have categories:
Big Tree
Little Tree
Simple Tree
Grandose(sp?)Tree
or something like that
…Festivus pole…
I guess we’ll wait and see what turns up, but yes, categories are a distinct possibility.
