Prince among men Nigel McRae has let it be known on Facebook that there’s going to be a rumble at the Polish Club this Saturday Night:

Kofi Annan’s six-point plan to end sectarian violence in Canberra between followers of the Rock and Reggae tribes has been declared a success, with cease fire agreements holding firm and reports of former combatants occasionally ‘passing the Dutchie on the left hand side’.

Point six in the plan asked the warring parties to propose a peaceful method of resolving their disputes, thus was born Rock Vs. Reggae, a night of music, dance and the chance to settle, once and for all, whether the 2 and 4 or the 1 and 3 are the best beats.

Dress according to tribal custom is mandatory.

Doors: open at 7.30pm for a start a little bit after that
Tix: $15 (full), $12 (conc), $10 (CMC members)
Playing: Beth ‘n’ Ben, the Burley Griffin, Rukka Dubbi, Gen Chadwick, Cherie Kotek

Proudly presented by the CMC, Cardboard Charlie and the United Nations (of Rock!)
