Rural roads close for cycling

Territory and Municipal Services are warning of road closures over the weekend to accomodate the 2012 Junior and Women’s Canberra cycling tour.

1 pm to 5 pm – Friday 6 July 2012

• Uriarra Road between Stromlo Forest Park and Brindabella Road

8 am to 5 pm – Saturday 7 July 2012

• Uriarra Road between Cotter Road and Brindabella Road

• Coppins Crossing Road between William Hovell Drive and Uriarra Road

• Mountain Creek Road at the intersection with Uriarra Road

• Fairlight Road at the intersection with Uriarra Road

8 am to 1 pm – Sunday 8 July 2012

• Uriarra Road between Cotter Road and Brindabella Road

• Coppins Crossing Road between William Hovell Drive and Uriarra Road

• Mountain Creek Road at the intersection with Uriarra Road

• Fairlight Road at the intersection with Uriarra Road.

Local traffic will retain access but the speed limit is down to 60kmph.
