The self-styled “Auto-Vigilantes” from the “RusHHour Underground” are surfacing to do something good. There’s a facebook page on which to sign up and the organisers have sent in the following words they wanted to get out there:

Hello to everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read this announcement.

    It’s on again !

A little sooner then I would have planned, but CPS has asked us to help out again.

I know that it’s a bad time at the moment with the poor people of VIC, but this is still a great fund, and it’s for our local hospital.

This charity will be for the same place, The Canberra Newborn Intensive Care Unit. (NICU)

We raised an amazing $7500.00 last November, that all went towards a mobile intensive care unit that will be able to be used on helicopters, Ambulance’s etc. Just like the ones that they use at the hospital but one that can be used anywhere.

Sadly the cost of this life saving package will cost around $180,000.00 so the $7500.00 we made last year was just the start.

Mix 106.3 and CPS Credit Union are arranging another fundraiser and have asked that we help out again.

This year’s cruise for the NICU will be held on the 29th March.

Meet time: 11:00am, Phillip Ice-skate car park.

    Departure from Phillip around 12:00pm.

Meet for BBQ and Raffle…. Location to be advised.

All Cars, Bikes, and Trucks are welcome to come along.

There is NO age limit to this event. So bring the family along.

Stickers will be on sale for $10 at Phillip

BBQ and Raffle prizes to be advised.

If you own a store or have some items you would like to sell on the day in aid of this fund raiser please email me your idea’s to t.bonfield@hotmail.com Eg, Krispy Kreame Doughnuts at this stage will have there own stand there on the day, all money they make will be donated. Set up like a markets/show .

All money raised on the day will be counted up on the day by staff from the CPS credit union and announced at the end of the day. 100% of it donated to the NICU

Thank you for your time, I really hope you can make it there on the day, and please send this invite onto every one on your face book list by hitting the invite button on the top left, or copy and paste this page and forward to every one via email.

If your able to list it on any other sites, please send the link to my email so I can keep a tally of how many people and car’s to expect on the day.

So come along, have some fun and help us raise as much as possible for the NICU.
Every baby deserves a fighting chance.

    Sincerely, Tyson.

    ——————————————-
For parents like Australian Idol’s runner Luke and our close friends Matt “AKA POTHOLE” and Lisa Opie who have had to go through the hard times of seeing their premature and sick babies fight for their lives.

Lisa Opie as an example has had 3 miscarriages in the past 3 years trying to have her and her husband Matthew Opie’s second child.

In Feb 2008 Lisa fell pregnant for the 4th time, more than ever Lisa and Matt wanted to have this baby, and get through the nine months of pregnancy with little to no complications.

Everything was going according to plan until Sunday 28/6/2008 when things started to head Downhill as it did with her last 3 pregnancies, Lisa was admitted into The Canberra Hospital straight away and the doctors were able to prolong her pregnancy and she was kept in the hospital under close monitoring until the 23/08/08 when their 2nd baby girl was born, MYLIE FAITH OPIE.

With the fast and experienced staff of the NICU, they took Mylie and gave her the assistance she needed.
Mylie was 14 weeks premature, and had a 50% chance of survival as she was not developed enough to handle the world outside of her mother’s womb without assistance.

Thanks to the NICU Mylie was given a real chance of survival, with at least one of their qualified Nurses and Doctors at Mylies side 24/7 on constant breathing systems, and other life supporting and monitoring machines.
Mylie is now 6 months old and loving life.

Becoming a stronger little girl every single day. She now weighs 4Kgs Most new borns weight is about 8 pounds.

Without the support of the Canberra Hospital and the NICU, Sadly Mylie and other premature babies just like her would have had no chance of survival.

If you cannot make it to this Charity Cruise and would still like to make a Donation.

Please contact me on 0400 422 238 or find a donation can at selected stores and service station chains around south Canberra or any CPS Credit Union shop front.

Every cent will help and be greatly appreciated.

All Cars, Trucks, Bikes etc welcome.

No one will discriminate your ride, there is no age limit.

Please go to http://www.facebook.com/event.php?ei…id=55291692108 to find out more information and list your self as attending if you can make it on the day.

If you are not yet a facebook member you can make an account via www.facebook.com even if its just a temp account. you can close it after the 29th of March if you wish. Its free to join and you will be able to find out everything you require to attend on the day and keep up to date with all the details that we might add in along the way.

Thank you all and I hope to see you there,

Again, feel free to call me with any questions,

    Tyson
