Save the Sarawak Rivers. Canberra information night

This just in:

The Malaysian state of Sarawak is about to be transformed by a major programme of dam construction which will displace tens of thousands of people and destroy hundreds of square kilometres of forests and farmlands.

Come and hear directly from Sarawak campaigners about the grim situation they face and the Australian company, Hydro Tasmania, who is a major partner in these projects.

Speakers include :Peter Kallang from NGO SAVE Rivers, James Nyurang Usang, Village head man from an area directly affected by the dams.

When: 7pm Monday, 26 November 2012
Where: Canberra Museum and Gallery, 176 London Circuit, Canberra
