This in from the NCA:

The National Capital Authority advises parts of Lake Burley Griffin are closed to primary contact activities following a sewage leak at Yarralumla Bay.

Yarralumla Bay, Yarralumla Beach, Weston Park East and Black Mountain Beach are closed to recreation activities that involve whole-body water contact or submersion of the head.

The NCA will monitor water quality and will re-open the areas as soon as clear test results are received.

Warning signs will be posted around the exclusion areas.

More information will be posted on this site as soon as possible. We apologies for the inconvenience.

For those who know how the excellent blues band Bondi Cigars got their name (floating turds near beach/sewage works)… maybe we could have the LBG Cigars.

Because you know this band i love you – best band i have seen live ever… my dad used to take me to their concerts when i was a kid

More than one type of fowl in that cesspit.

Yes, there are swans as well as ducks.

Ducks and drakes sounds better 🙂

While the lake is on the nose our feathered friends don’t appear to be getting into a flap over it.
