The Aboriginal Tent Embassy has called for a Sit-In of Federal Parliament House for tomorrow at 8am. This is to call for justice for Aboriginal children held in detention and suffering abuse Australia-wide.

Our kids are unsafe now in Detention Australia-wide. Reports and complaints have been lodged around the Country of abuse and torture of Children. Why are not charges being laid? Where’s the protection of our Children? Act Now! The Government did not adhere to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into deaths in Custody and since then the deaths have quadrupled in numbers. Our children cannot wait! They need help Now!

The Facebook event page for the protest can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/155184438243358/

I will be attending as Independent Media, and will be live-streaming the event on Twitter via Periscope. If you want to tune in on the day just head to: https://twitter.com/Mordd_IndyMedia/

If you care about what has been happening to vulnerable youth in detention in Australia, come along and let Federal parliamentarians know how you feel. See you there!
