Lifeline Canberra Fun Run & Half Marathon
When: 5 Nov, 6am to 10am
Where: Patrick White Lawns, Parkes Place West, Parkes, ACT 2600
If you feel like you could use a little bit of fresh air and would like to help a good cause, come out this Saturday and participate in the “Run for your Lifeline” Fun Run and Half Marathon. You can do either a 5km or 10km lap, at a walk or run depending on your fitness level, or run the half marathon. All registration money is donated to local suicide prevention and crisis support services.

Beer Day Out 2016

When: Nov 5, 12pm-8pm
Where: Thoroughbred Park, ACT
Note: You must be 18 or older to attend.
Canberra biggest beer festival returns for its fourth year, with some of Australia and New Zealand’s best breweries showing off their products. There’s something for everyone, with live music, games, brewing classes and cooking with beer demonstrations at the event.

Federal Amateur Open-Golf
When: Nov 4, 5, 6, from 6.45am
Where: The Federal Golf Club, Gowrie Drive, Red Hill
Come along this Saturday or Sunday to see some of the greatest amateur golfers in the world play one of the best inland courses in Australia. Watch Australian Amateur Open champion Connor Syme play, and be present for the first time that women have been invited to take part in the event.

Day of the Dead Fiesta

When: Saturday, November 5 at 3pm-11.30pm
Where: Ainslie Arts Centre, 30 Elouera Street Braddon.
Join the Canberra community in a celebration of Latino culture, with live bands, food and craft stalls, DJs, performances and live art shows. Get your face painted and learn about the rich Latino culture in this celebration of life, paying tribute to the dead.

Kippax Monster Garage Sale
When: Saturday, November 5 at 8am – 1pm
Where: Corner Luke St and Hardwick Cres, Holt
If you like bargain hunting then the Kippax monster garage sale is for you. Thousands of different donated items will be up for grabs at the Kippax communities biggest, volunteer run garage sale. There will also be morning tea, a sausage sizzle and a jumping castle at the event, so there’s something to entertain everyone while you look for a great deal.

La Grande Fete
When: Saturday Nov 5 2.30pm-7pm
Where: Telopea Park School, New South Wales Crescent, Barton
One of the largest school fetes in the ACT, Telopea Park School’s annual festival of food, fun and entertainment runs from the afternoon till twilight. The event is famous for its international food stalls, carnival rides and French-themed atmosphere. There is a focus on the kids with dodgem cars, show bags and cake stalls, but plenty for the grown-ups too, with musical performances, the annual Canberra French Car Clubs display, pre-loved clothing and books, beer and wine and a cornucopia of food.

Also this weekend are the South Canberra Relay for Life on Saturday at 10am, the Belco Now Night Festival at the Belconnen Arts Centre on Saturday from 5pm-8pm and the finals of the Apis Canberra International tennis tournament. The Canberra International Film Festival and British Film Festival continue, as does the Design Canberra festival.
