Smells Like Centenary Spirit: PLAYitLOUD Band Competition @ the Royal Theatre

MusicACT is hosting a free youth concert event at the Royal Theatre, National Convention Centre from 4-10pm on the 15th of November called Smells Like Centenary Spirit: PLAYitLOUD Band Competition.

That’s quite a name.

They’re promising market stalls, special guests, roving entertainment, and a whole bunch of other fun stuff. This will most likely be worth a look, particularly for the under 18 music lover.

The Centenary of Canberra presents SMELLS LIKE CENTENARY SPIRIT – ‘BATTLE OF THE BANDS’ FINAL CONCERT.

Melbourne indie rockers BRITISH INDIA will be headlining!!!

‘Battle of the Bands’ qualifiers competing in the Final Concert are:

Mind the Gap
Beneath the Surface
Novia Scotia
Harley Quinn
No Assumption
Finding Eve
Behind the Silhouettes
The Steptones
‘Wildcard’ band – LIFT OFF Band competition winner

The concert will also feature great entertainment:

Our local winners will be determined by a panel of the nation’s best music industry judges, including: Dax Liniere, Anna Wallace, Chris Jervis, Mark Lackey, Julia Wilson

To top it all off in real rock’n’roll style, the winner of the overall competition will be awarded their prize by BRITISH INDIA.
