Smoke at the Legislative Assembly

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at the ACT Legislative Assembly, London Circuit, City investigating smoke on level two.

No sign of fire.

Crews are currently ventilating the area.

A small number of people on level two only have been evacuated as a precaution.

Smoke as a result of a stove top operational, which was left unattended.

Two fire pumpers on scene with the Hazardous Materials Unit, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a Command Officer.

Crews alerted following an Automatic Fire Alarm at 11.47am.

ACT Fire & Rescue will conduct atmospheric monitoring before people are permitted to return to the area on level two.

Well the smoke wouldn’t interupt a sitting day. A sitting day in the LA is near as rare as I guess smoke.
