Southern Sky UFO?

What was in the southern Canberra Sky at about 2:30 on Sunday afternoon?

From Duffy, it appeared to be nearly due south and moved very slowly to the West. It moved, as you would track the Moon or the planets across the sky.

Initial assumptions were that it was a bunch of balloons, but it failed to have definition on closer inspection with binoculars.

During the time of the observation, there appeared to be an orbiting and smaller object.

By 3:30, the object had disappeared.

Sounds like stanhope’s ego has reached a new high.

Maybe it was an asylum seeker (tied to a North Korean rocket) being sent to Nauru for processing?

yes the liberal government had a deal with NK.. the deal allowed for them to test missiles in the ACT as it was in their view a wasteland which they didn’t want. The deal also included reportedly large but unsubstantiated amounts of vegemite. Apparently Mr Kim is quite fond of australia’s least favourite export.

See above, bonfire. And the ‘orbiting and smaller object’ was Kim Jong Il, who forgot to let go the leash…

werent the north koreans testing their long range missile ?

and it was originally posted by johnboy… now posted by Bjorn_Agen…

It’s a conspiracy Thump! Don thy tinfoil helmet.

It’s probably a new speed camera design.

I hear the North Koreans have some gyroscope malfunctions in their IBMs.

Its either that or Deb Foskey is putting all her hot air to good use Msr Evil.

I think it may have been a spy balloon launched by Gary Nairn to see what evil plans the ACT is plotting against Queanbeyan!

weather balloon. take off the tin foil hats

Amanda Vanstone – it must have been her. She certainly lacks definition!

Amanda Vanstone?
