Spence House Fire

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at a house fire in Healy Street, Spence.

Update to follow.

2:54 AM

Fire fighters are continuing to extinguish the fire which has now fully involved the three bedroom house.

Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a Command Officer are currently on scene.

The house was unoccupied at the time of fire.

Crews were alerted to the fire by a passer by who called Triple Zero (000) at 2:22am.

3:21 AM

Fire fighters have now extinguished the fire which has destroyed the house.

The damage is estimated at $320,000.

There was no damage to neighbouring properties.

Investigations into the cause of the fire will commence today.
