I am looking to hire a spit roast and buy some beef for a party next month. I have been searching the internet for a while and have come up with few options. There are a few catering places that will come and do all the work for you, and only one place (that I found) from which you can hire the spit to do it all yourself.
So, does anyone know of a good (and relatively cheap) place from where I could hire a spit (preferably gas, but wouldn’t completely reject a coal spit)? And then I guess a good butcher to get good quality and relatively cheap spit roast beef?

I recall seeing a place at fyshwick fresh food markets that had one outside a couple of months ago.

Jordos Chop Shop is definately the way to go. His spits are great and his meat is world class!
make sure you spit the whole beast… none of this pre-prepared roast…
