The normally warm and fuzzy Stateline got sharp with Andrew Barr on Friday night. The transcript is up.

The ingenue Education Minister showed he’s taken media coaching from his Brave Leader with a wonderful parroting of the Stanhopian rebuttal.

REPORTER: but with all due respect they have to don’t they .. the education department – the teachers are feeling gagged cause they’re afraid of losing their jobs, so how honest a debate is this ..and

ANDREW BARR: I completely reject that assertion Catherine that’s an outrageous assertion Catherine .

REPORTER: but why? teachers won’t speak out..

ANDREW BARR: no-one’s job is being threatened in anyway, that’s an outrageous statement..

Another reason why I won’t be voting for Andrew Barr anytime in the future. Answer the question – if you dare.

Damn you for bumping this – I though another 30 schools were closing. Oooh, gotta go apparently the Belrin Wall is coming down…

barr needs to be a stand-up comic. He’s certainly got the right lines to have the audience in stitches.

Warm and fuzzy? Stateline?! Did you see their investigations after the Bushfires? brilliant stuff, they really went for it, and their info was very good indeed.

RandomGit,

Is there an email/circular warning teachers not to speak out?

RandomGit, well I haven’t – must be because I am not in the system this year.

So I’ll speak up.

Jobs are going. They don’t want to pay teachers more without cutting jobs so they close schools.

Nice one.

Oh, come on. What’s he going to say. “Teachers must shut up, fall into line, or be sacrified to my dark god, puny human! BWAHAHAHAHA!”

He’s hardly going to sit there and play bitch to some journo, is he.

LMAO – He’s a comedian – right?
