As telegraphed this morning the Brumbies have announced that star hooker Stephen Moore is committing to the club for a further two years.

Already a 55 Test veteran and old head amongst a team of younger players, Moore’s decision to extend his domestic career has the potential to project his Wallabies and CA Technologies Brumbies profile to new heights.

“When I weighed it all up, it wasn’t a hard decision,” Moore says.

“There is still a lot I want to achieve in Australian Rugby, both with the Wallabies and here at the Brumbies.

“There was also the lifestyle factor to consider. Once we looked at everything, my fiancée Courtney and I came to the decision that Australia is where we want to be.”

Moore said his time in Canberra had been enjoyable. He said the work of Brumbies Rugby staff, notably Brumbies Rugby Chief Executive Andrew Fagan, had been a big influence on his decision to stay.

“My time in Canberra has been great and I think from a rugby perspective there’s a lot I still want to achieve at the Brumbies.
