Some low-life broke into my house in Watson last Thursday (24 October), around midday it would seem, and stole the items listed below.

Please pass on any info you might have to me or the police.

2012 Giant Anthem 29er, small frame, charcoal colour, dual suspension, hydraulic disc brakes.
Distinguishing feature is a remote lock-out rear shock with control button on left side handlebar and distinct gold decals on barrel (as distinct from the market issue black decals). The bike also had a small, black zip-up seat pouch containing spare tube & repair kit.

laptop

Toshiba Satellite Pro 17″ laptop, silver colour, with black charger. The laptop has a high-security encryption logon that locks out at the third failed attempt and renders the laptop completely useless to all but me.

cybershot

Sony Cybershot digital camera (small, black) in yellow/orange zip-up pouch.

Serial numbers of all items are with ACT Policing, as are numerous burglar fingerprints, shoe prints, and DNA samples from blood left behind after breaking a window.

2 adult males were heard on the premises by a neighbour at the time of the break-in.

P.S. they’re in for a nasty surprise or three when they do come back…

Kramer, just bring your tired old Kona DH to my place. Cops warned me they’ll be back in about 6wks looking for replacements.

Bummer – hope you get it back soon in good condition.
If you catch them, send them to my place to steal my DH bike – old Kona with lots of very hard Kms, and in desperate need of replacement (either by me or insurance)!

Thanks folks, much appreciated.

Yes, agree – there aren’t a lot of marks to make this one stand out, and they’re a fairly popular model of higher-end dually. It’s likely to be getting ridden around town though, which many of them aren’t.

And hey, I can only hope!

I will keep an eye out as I am in the City. Trouble is though, yours doesnt really have that many distinguishing marks, I have the same bike but mine was the super shiny cracking frame model so while mine has the grey frame, it also has Fox suspension and blue bits everywhere.

Not your bike but I saw a scummy looking guy riding what appeared to be a comp-grade downhill bike waiting to cross northbourne today. I reckon about a 2% chance it wasn’t stolen.
