Supermarket 'shopping basket' price comparison May 2013

Do you want to save money on your fortnightly shoppping? Are you looking for a better range of products with local producers and the highest range of gluton free products.

So do we, and after a recent discussion with Supabarn in Canberra, now you can. Supabarn conducted an independent inquiry after more than one person had wondered aloud who had the cheapest grocery aisle prices. They concluded that the total of their 67 of most commonly purchased items came up cheaper when compared with Woolworths and Coles. That sometimes included items that both of these major chains had chosen to put on special for the week. The final score – Supabarn : $289.56, Coles : $294.74, and Woolworths last at $304.38
