Brand Depot today and noticed that the back area had been gutted

Recent news that Brand Depot is closing is now unfortunately joined by news that the DFO may be placed into liquidation in the Canberra Times), as the owners of the DFO shopping centres face over a billion dollars in debt.
With news of SupaBarn closing as well, are we left with the Westfield shopping centres only?

The smh brings us word that the DFO empire is on the brink of collapsing in debt which could also mean the end of the half empty Fyshwick site.
Banks are likely to appoint receivers Korda Mentha as early as today to South Wharf Retail, which owns South Wharf DFO [...]

1. There’s been a fire at Brand Depot. Lets hope a starving retailer wasn’t trying to get some insurance back before departing on a midnight clear.

I was made aware of the floorplan (download link) for the new DFO at Fyshwick. It appears that the new DFO complex will have MANY recognised brand name shops and outlets.
I feel somewhat sorry for any (struggling) operators that are locked in to long leases out at the airport as the new DFO complex with its diversity will certainly appear a [...]
