Belconnen has alarming number of sexual assaults

By 9 July 2013

The latest quarterly crime statistics for the ACT have been released and they’re presented on a rather nice interactive map that allows us to examine what has been reported and where.
Jumping backwards in time the numbers get larger which certainly is a good sign, still the current numbers are a little concerning when viewed alone.
The [...]

I guess at Club X the work just comes naturally

In a way the continued existence of Club X in the heart of Civic is as comforting as other anachronisms, like the Canberra Times.
But on the way from the bank this afternoon I couldn’t help notice their hiring based on nothing but gender and looks.
How sweet of them…

Luckily we had gotten [...]

This also in from SheepGroper:
There are now two signs at the entrance to Murulla Lane to warn pedestrians and other traffic that the builders gutting 16-18 Mort St sometimes block off their end of the lane completely, forcing vehicles to exit via the entrance. It’s interesting watching a large truck backing out of the entrance, [...]

Fancy a sip? Images of Canberra

One has to admire the ingenuity of smokers to find new and exciting ways to dispose of their filthy by-products.
One has to wonder who was the first to stub one out here and then I guess the others just followed the lead.
It’s on Ainslie Avenue just across the road from the Legislative Assembly.

Standing atop this mass is a privileged elite making offerings to the empty [...]
