Firefighters are helping to untangle a hot air balloon that is suspended in a light fitting at the Aranda District Playing Fields.
Sixteen people were in the basket at the time of the crash.

The ACT Rural Fire Service will today, Saturday, 8 November, 2014, weather permitting, assist a private landholder with a hazard reduction burn at the property “Sunny Corner”, Victoria Street, Hall.

Students evacuated from Lyneham High School following odour

Firefighters are currently on site at the Lyneham High School, Goodwin Street, Lyneham, investigating an odour believed to be smoke from the school hall.
No fire has been found, however approximately 1050 staff and students were evacuated as a precaution.
