Two men passed out at UC

ACT Policing is investigating the discovery of two unconscious men at the University of Canberra this morning (Thursday April 11).
Around 11am, ACT Ambulance Service was called to the student accommodation building. The men, aged 28 and 26, were transported to Calvary Hospital, in a critical condition.

Police want to know about the UC fire

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a fire at the University of Canberra last night (January 6).
Around 9.10pm, police attended the student accommodation unit, where ACT Fire and Rescue had extinguished a couch which had been set alight. Police are treating the fire as suspicious.

UC ressies smoke up

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at Cooinda Street, Bruce, at the University of Canberra campus, attending to smoke issuing from a residential block of accomodation.
On arrival, firefighters found a residential area vacant and heavily smoke logged with all four stove stop elements in the common kitchen area turned on.

Gas rupture at UC

ACT Fire & Rescue are on scene at Monana Street, Bruce, at the University of Canberra following a gas line rupture.
Three fire pumpers are on scene and have isolated the gas leak from a 50mm gas line wearing Breathing Apparatus.
Adjacent building has been evacuated as a precaution.
