Tales from Tuggeranong, TCC Update

I have just returned from another Tuggeranong Community Council meeting and it seems things are going from bad to worse under the new president.

A number of members left in disgust tonight over his performance and some have vowed not to return.

The TCC Executive need to pull him into line, explain how to run a proper meeting, stick to an agenda, cast his eyes beyond Calwell, don’t push your own interests and, most of all, don’t hog the microphone, people like to listen to the guest presenters.

Community councils… something even lower brow than student politics.

Put the old battle axe Rosemary back in charge!

It appears that the ‘rules’ meant that TCC couldn’t keep the previous highly competent pres for another year.
The new pres is well-intentioned but needs guidance.

I’ve noticed that he appears to have a very high employee turnover at his place of business.

Doesn’t he own the Calwell Shopping Center?

I think his father does, but i think he runs the food stand in the main part. Seems incongruous to me that he is the President.

I agree.

How on earth did he get the votes?

Havent you left Tuggeranong yet?

Probably not as bad as the Belconnen version where members were asking other members outside for a fight.
