Thank you for taking an interest in the upcoming event “Spare change for change” and for supporting our charity – OneGirl. We are a team of four local Canberrans who make up team “Pandamonium”. We are of?cial entrants in the 2012 Mongol Rally, an annual charity event which this year will see over 200 people driving from London to the Czech Republic and then on to Mongolia. Roughly 10,000 km will be covered in around 4-5 weeks. The catch – all teams must travel in nothing larger than a 1.2 liter car (hence Pandamonium – we will be taking a Fiat Panda).
The of?cial charity for the rally is the Lotus Children’s Centre in Mongolia and once a set amount has been raised for that, then teams are free to raise money for other charities of their choice. Team Pandamonium has chosen OneGirl as our of?cial charity. OneGirl, in short, aims to empower girls and women in Sierra Leone so that they might lead change within their communities. We are hosting “Spare change for change” as a charity evening. It will include drinks on arrival, dinner and entertainment and will be held at the Woden Southern Cross Club. We greatly appreciate your support, this rally will be a hugely in?uential event in our lives and we hope to give it even more purpose by supporting OneGirl and their focus.
