bike cage

Danni’s long wait to see bikes in the Belconnen Bike>Park>Ride cage has finally been rewarded with a sighting of not one, but two bicycles!

Inspired by Cadel Evans perhaps?

Three bikes today I tells ya! Three!

A nice set of “out in the open” locking points would have also been useful. At least so that people can try before committing to getting a cage card (or irregular users).

Stuff bikes helping the environment, what about trees. The sheer amount of drab pavement in that pic is awful.

They did put one token tree in that area, as seen in the pic. Not native though, as far as I can see…

I walked past that cage the other day and someone had locked their bike to the outside steel structure. At least it’s getting used somehow…

you know what is funny… i installed the access control on that cage about 8-10 months ago…. i programmed the cards and passed them onto the contact as required. What has happended since then i have no idea! The Mitchell cage was completed about 5-6 months ago….same again! and im about to start the Woden cage…

So now the captive breeding project is under way.

Im told that the delay is due to the cards used to access the cages. Applications have been received, cards are slow to arrive. Perhaps pedal power might have better info.
