The Cat is away, so the mice will play - Stanhope and Corbell Junkets commence.

I really wanted to link to the Chief Minister’s Friday release in which he let us know that more than 180 musical artistes had registered with the ACT Gubbmint to take part in public events.

I was all set to praise our Brave Leader for this magnificent initiative.

Sadly it is still not online. And then today I got another media release. Also sadly still not online. This one informed we the lumpen-proletariat as to ministerial arrangement while Mr. Stanhope is OS, as is his peculiar Minister for Planning, Simon Corbell.

Which, in the abscence of information leads me to wonder if the web-monkey is taking a break while the boss is away.

“Put not your trust in princes” -Psalm 146

Not all the bible is worthless K.

JB you forgot it’s not a junket, it’s a very important training mission… or something, I’ve forgotten the exact words our esteemed leader used, but he definitely said THIS IS NOT A JUNKET.

I reckon that ACT’s climate is more than adequate for what they are planning in terms of the the Aboretum(sp?). I think all this harping on about how bad an idea it is is a little immature until they actually give out more details of what the plan is. Consdering the planned site is slowly going to weeds something needs to be done, and soon. So the better they get these fact finding missions over with, the better.

Acting leader would go to the deputised – Right Said Ted.

Who probably would have been better placed to look at role model North American gardens that the govt has in mind to replicate – he at least surely would have seen what an economic nightmare it would be planting such gardens in our dry climate.

Does this mean that the ACT’s two favourite politicians will come back with funny shirts, a tan and an arboretum report?

And who is acting Chief Minister?
