Christmas!

Bring on the pretty lights and Christmas cheer!

The festive season will kick off tonight with the lighting of the Christmas tree in Civic Square from 7pm.

There will be entertainment for the whole family with Christmas carols and a special visit from Santa Claus.

After tonight’s lighting of the tree the Christmas cheer will be taken up a notch next Thursday 12 December, when Christmas Carnival in the City once again transforms the City centre into a Christmas themed playground- with plenty of entertainment for everyone!

CEO of Canberra CBD Limited, Jane Easthope, says she can’t wait to contribute to the festive season with this action packed carnival.

“Our main goal is to bring people to the City and spread the Christmas festivities. This is a great opportunity for families to spend time and have fun together –it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.”

Christmas Carnival in the City will run for 12 days from Thursday 12 December – Monday 23 December 2013. Entertainment will begin from 12pm daily, concluding at 8pm each evening.
