The ARU have announced the Wallaby train-on squad. Seventeen Brumbies have made the grade:

Adam Ashley-Cooper, Alister Campbell, Mark Chisholm, Mark Gerrard, George Gregan, Nic Henderson, Stephen Hoiles, Julian Huxley, Stephen Larkham, Stirling Mortlock, Jeremy Paul, Clyde Rathbone, Julian Salvi, Guy Shepherdson, George Smith, Jone Tawake, Adam Wallace-Harrison

The Force have 14 players in the squad and the useless buggers from Queensland a little deserved nine.

Astonishingly the 13th placed Waratahs have NINETEEN players in there!

It’s that commitment to quality which makes Australian Rugby what it is today. Force fans would do well to feel hard done by.

What exactly is the point of having a 59 man squad? I’m sure the selectors could have bitten the bullet and culled the list now rather than wait a couple more weeks. Are they hoping some players will miraculously remember how to play properly after playing crap all season?

I guess all of those Waratahs are selected because they are SUPPOSED to be good and no one has the balls to commit that they aren’t.

Bloody hell. Idiots. Still, I’ll reserve final judgement until the actual squad of 30 is announced. It SHOULD contain mostly Brumbies & Force players.
