Simon Corbell is asking for your thoughts on Pialligo’s draft master plan:

“Pialligo is a unique place in Canberra and has been an important part of its history, but we must also plan for its future,” Mr Corbell said.

“The consultation on this master plan is the perfect opportunity for people to voice their opinions, concerns and vision for the area.

“Pialligo is known by many for being a peaceful and interesting destination with rural values close to the city and the government would like to allow Pialligo to grow while continuing to protect these values.”

At some point they’ll be turning it on at the time to talk website and comments will close on 7 August 2012.

Needs a better road and less pot holes in the dirt & gravel on the sides.

This. Also, less floral styled signage – can’t tell the damn difference between the ten or so garden-store clones.

Needs a better road and less pot holes in the dirt & gravel on the sides.

What it needs is a riverside cafe.
Ferry from the lake up the river (or canoe)
Current layout takes no advantage of Molongolo

Pialligo badly needs more nurseries and garden centres. Never can seem to find one out there.
