The Iron Bar at Goolabri

The region’s got a new bar which is never a bad thing!

The latest addition is the Iron Bar at the Goolabri resort just down the Federal Highway which has sent us a media release:

You may know and love Goolabri as a place for a game of golf and morning coffee, a stunning venue with oldfashioned hospitality and the home of ‘Summer Rhythm Festival, or, perhaps you have been existing blissfully under a rock somewhere.

Heralding a new era at Goolabri is the Iron Bar, with arguably the most serene and green views of any watering hole in the Canberra region. Aptly named for its location just a few steps from the final hole at Goolabri Golf Course, and the interior of the Iron Bar exudes warmth through its wood and iron finish that incorporates recycled materials and history from the property, resonating with its natural surrounds.

A deceptively short drive from the northern suburbs of Canberra (10min from Dickson or fewer from Gungahlin), the Iron Bar is an idyllic setting for a sundowner, or whiling away a lazy weekend afternoon. Here you will find beer on tap, and “The Acoustic Sessions” will be staged every Sunday afternoon, beginning opening weekend.

Hungry? You will be tempted to try the fresh new menu offering substantial snacks, or a full breakfast on weekends.
