The Notes of Manuka. Do you know this woman?

By 6 June, 2013 10

note

This in from John:

On the corner of la Perouse St and Murray Cres behind the Manuka Shops, a house is being renovated. Behind the security fencing this poignant little notice has been placed for passers-by to read. Seems like someone has upset someone in this paragon of the well-heeled, non?

Excuse the poor quality of the photo, mobile phone and security fence do not always aid in composition.

Wow, that’s funny.

That’s certainly one for http://www.passiveaggressivenotes.com

I wonder what the true details are? i.e. I wonder what objections have been raised?

A crank with double standards – why is she not an MLA?

One wonders is this the same woman who railed agains tthe V8 race, stating that amongst other things that Canberra is a quiet, peaceful place that should not have progressed past the 1950s. Well certainly in her mind.

She may well be trying to get into our quaint unicameral parliament, but there’s a fair amount of competition with all the other nosey, prickly hypocrites.

More likely, she’s on the Inner South Canberra Community Council (ISCCC) with all the other nimby flucks. Perfect fit.

The em dashes, quotation marks and use of capitals are a tad peculiar, but the spelling is nice. So it is not Barcham’s house.

At least the author is consistent. They have some idea of how to do things, even if that idea is not the conventional one.
