This came across my desk and I thought some RiotACT readers might be affected, or know people affected, by homelessness. Homelessness can happy to any of us – all it takes is a run of bad luck like losing your job or getting ill, and suddenly it becomes very hard to pay the rent or mortgage.

As part of National Homeless Persons Week (August 1 – 7) Southside Community Service is running a free BBQ and info hub at their community hall, 63 Boolimba Cres, Narrabundah between 11 and 3.

We invite community workers to pass on the information of this excellent chance for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or need to link in with services, to engage and have a free and fun BBQ lunch!

More info can be found here.

For more info please call Southside Community Services on 6126 4714.
