the preacher at Ainslie shops

The Canberra Times informs us that acting Justice Jane Mathews has bought the “not trying to kill when stabbing in the head” defence of Isa Islam:

A street preacher who stabbed his former neighbour at an inner-north takeaway shop has been found not guilty of attempted murder.

But acting Justice Jane Mathews has found Isa Islam guilty of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm on short-order cook Andrew Dyer in July 2009.

I am grateful the courts were able to deliver this justice. Still some out there who have not had a day in court and probably wont ever. Getting nothing is the ultimate injustice. Lets give thanks here.

That’s one lenient sentence, the victim has to live with what this LOST god follower did to him.
Yes we do need a mental health asylum, isn’t one supposed being built in Canberra, the sooner the better.

@ #6, I don’t think Isa does much for ‘fun’. He’s deluded and unstable.

If we had a mental health system that came close to working in the ACT he might, just maybe, have got the attention he needed before he caused so much grief and harm to other people.

Ever stab someone in the head and leave them a tetraplegic for fun CSRI?

That’s the only reason I do it. If he dies a a result, that’s gravy.

Yes, the nearly full AMC is filled with drink drivers and speeders. Do me a favour and slap yourself in the face.

I draw the honourable members attention to the reply I gave earlier.

Admitting to stabbing someone? Gotta be worth a few weekends home detention in the ACT.

But if he’s homeless? Just let him go then.

DPP fail again. On fire this week.

Justice Jane Mathews – Give yourself an uppercut and go back to school. Why are they trying so hard not to have any murder or attempted murder charges in the ACT?

That is for the courts to decide.

Of course you were all in court and heard all the evidence right? Right?

Now that must have been one bad $10 lunch.

Canberra, the place to murder people and get away with it.

…the only guilty people here are the people who get caught by speed cameras and DUIs

Of course he is Not Guilty as it happened in the ACT
