The ABC has the terrifying news that Chief Minister Stanhope has sat down for an infrastructure roundtable with business representatives who have some exciting ideas for what we can do for them.

The ACT Property Council says one of the big challenges facing the Government is maintenance of infrastructure.

Spokeswoman Catherine Carter supports the call for more joint ventures with the private sector.

“Because of population growth, because of financing constraints, because of increased needs by the community for infrastructure assets, I think we’re going through some challenging times in terms of providing what people need and being able to afford what people need,” she said.

“But we also have some really great opportunities here”.

Note to Mr Stanhope: When you sit down for a game of poker and you don’t know who the sucker is? It’s you.
